When you explore
Guides and calculators are public. My Loan Plan calculates estimates in your browser. After you complete the questions, a draft is kept in session storage in that browser tab so you can move through sign-in without losing your work. It is cleared when you close the tab or choose “Start a new draft.” Other calculators keep entries only for the page session. Loan School stores completed lesson IDs in local storage until you clear them.
When you save a plan
Account creation is not active yet. The following describes the implemented saving flow that will be enabled after account email delivery is configured and verified. Creating an account uses an email address and a verification code. Separately choosing “Save my plan” sends your school name, training stage, dates, specialty, debt balances, and scenario assumptions to your private account. These answers are used to personalize your plan and help us understand the education stages and planning needs of our users. They are not public.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, FSA credentials, loan-account passwords, credit reports, medical records, or patient information. Do not enter these in a school-name field.
Service providers and referrals
Vercel hosts the site and may process request logs, IP addresses, browser details, and essential cookies. Neon provides account authentication and database storage when accounts are enabled; the configured database is in the United States. These providers process information to operate the service. A sidebar preference cookie may remember navigation state.
No advertising pixels, lender tracking links, or marketing subscriptions are currently included. Planner inputs are not sent to lenders. If referral partnerships are added, paid links will be disclosed and sharing personal information will require a separate, clear choice. External sites have their own privacy policies.
Control your information
You can download your completed plan as a file. Downloads contain your entered financial information, so store them privately. Once accounts are enabled, the account panel will let you replace your saved plan, sign out, or delete your account and saved plan. Account deletion removes the active account and saved plan; provider backups and security logs may remain for their retention periods. No lender receives your plan when you delete or download it.
On a shared device, clear the draft and sign out before leaving. Closing a browser does not guarantee all browser-restored tabs or downloaded files have been removed.
Questions and changes
Use the signed-in account controls for data deletion when available. We will update this page before changing how personal data is collected or shared. This site provides loan education and scenario illustrations; it does not manage your loan accounts.
